Project Intro

VidCon is where digital culture takes center stage as 50,000 of the world’s leading digital creators, platform innovators, and their fans come together to make friends, expand their reach, and make groundbreaking industry exchanges.


The VidCon brand underwent a complete redesign in 2021, and two years later they wanted to explore new and unique expressions of that branding. VidCon trusted CMYK to directly support their marketing and social media teams by creating fresh content for paid digital media, organic social content, and paid OOH (out of home) media including Time Square billboards leading up to VidCon Anaheim 2023.

Tapping into VidCon’s vast archive of content from years past, we produced themed videos for holidays and even an April Fools Day TikTok ad that tricked viewers into thinking VidCon tickets had sold out in 10 minutes before reassuring them that tickets actually go on sale at a later date.

Working closely with the client, CMYK led the creative process from ideation & concepting through storyboarding, design, illustration, and animation to delivery. This not only provided a steady supply of eye-catching marketing content but also an ongoing brand exploration through the development of fresh expressions and assets.
