Jr. Developer – Web

CMYK is looking for an entry-level web developer. Our ideal candidate will have professional and/or academic experience developing interactive/web. General responsibilities will include working closely with senior developer to address the ongoing needs of existing sites, as well as entirely new site builds.

All of our development is done in-house: we are NOT looking for an offsite developer.

Typical Activities:

  • Working with senior developers, designers, and managers to concept and execute on projects
  • Developing large-scale CMS-based websites and smaller single page sites
  • Quality control testing and bug fixing
  • Providing input during creative meetings and collaborating with design teams

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1 – 2 years professional experience
  • Proficiency with the below software / services / programming languages:
    • WordPress
    • PHP
    • Git
    • SASS
    • Front-end web tooling (Webpack)
    • JavaScript and common JS libraries
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience with file and asset organization
  • Experience with research and understanding of development processes
  • Capable of managing multiple concurrently running creative projects and initiatives

Assistant Editor – 3 month Contract

About the projects: 

Multiple projects throughout the 3 month contract, consisting of corporate conferences , Internal social and short form event, and training videos. 

The role: 

  • You will collaborate closely on a daily basis with the producer and the senior editor to create radio cuts, rough assemblies, and select sequences for the project.
  • You will work directly with the Producer and Senior Editor to ensure tasks are completed and deadlines are met. 
  • You will also be supported by a post-production supervisor and Associate Producer.

The right candidate:

  • Has worked as an Associate Editor, Additional Editor, or Co-Editor on at least two client facing projects.
  • Technical skills in Premiere Pro, including compositing, keying, nesting, multi-camera workflows, and basic keyframing animation.
  • Experience with basic audio mixing and cleanup.
  • The ability to work both quickly and thoroughly. 
  • A strong sense of storytelling / narrative. 
  • Works well in a team setting, responding to input from and collaboration with the creative team and stakeholders.
  • Is meticulous about keeping project files organized and up to date. 
  • Has excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Additional experience that is not required but is beneficial: 
  • Experience with motion graphics.
  • Experience working with green screen video work flows.
  • Technical skill working with After Effects. 
  • Experience with color correction workflows in Premiere Pro.

Work Location:

Associate Producer

Position Summary: 

CMYK is looking to bring on a project-based Associate Producer to assist with a video production this fall.

As Associate Producer, you will provide support to all productions to ensure successful development and execution. Working closely with the Executive Producer, you’ll have the opportunity to directly support video production and build out the production process while working on on-set production and high-quality live streaming video events. 

The role: 

  • Support the Executive Producer with pre-production budgeting, scheduling, hiring, and other logistical items.
  • Support the Executive Producer on-set to ensure strict production schedules are maintained while all content goals are met.
  • Work directly with the crew to endure all aspects of production are effectively communicated and understood. 
  • Support the creation and distribution of final post-production deliverables.
  • Assist the Executive Producer with providing support to remote talent responsible for self-capturing interview video.

The right candidate:

  • Highly creative and enjoys working in a team environment with production and talent.
  • Meticulous with detail and organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent at encouraging and tracking consistent communication from a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Highly independent but know when and how to seek help when needed. 
  • Able to effectively multi-task and hold others accountable while supporting a variety of production needs.
  • Comfortable working in excel to track budgets and create spending reports.
  • At least two years of experience in the media industry 
  • Experience supervising the creation of short and long-form content, liaising with talent, budgeting, and contracting. 
  • Experience developing production plans and project support tools that can be adopted across productions.

Additional experience that is not required but is beneficial: 

Experience working with live video broadcasting.

Marketing Intern

Our ideal candidate will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in marketing or business administration and has ambitions to work in marketing, advertising, or some other creative field. General responsibilities will include account research, strategy, and process implementation for a wide range of digital—and occasionally print—projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the day-to-day account management for CMYK’s clients
  2. Develop a basic knowledge of the client from a business, industry, and competitive perspective
  3. Assist in management of internal organization systems including G Suite and Zoho Projects
  4. Create timely and accurate reports, such as meeting notes/recaps, project status reports, etc.
  5. Actively track industry trends
  6. Support strategic endeavors, with the guidance of the account teams
  7. Help develop client and process documentation, such as glossaries of terms, backend training guides, and process overviews
  8. QC testing for client projects, with the guidance of the account teams
  9. Marketing initiatives, such as assisting with weekly newsletters and social media strategies
