Warner Chappell Music Latin America

A break-out hit, 10 years in the making

Project Intro

Warner Chappell is the global music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, with a history dating back to the founding of the original Chappell & Co. group in 1811 and a roster of contemporary musicians and back-catalog of credits that reads as a veritable “who’s who” of the greatest popular musicians of the past two centuries.

Highlights

In celebration of their team’s dedication and success in discovering and cultivating outstanding songwriters and performers, Warner Chappell Latin America enlisted CMYK to produce a short video that puts the spotlight on their key personnel, highlights their recent accomplishments, and showcases the “Warner Way” of supporting deserved talent long-term.

CMYK was trusted to direct, film, and edit a day-in-life style micro-documentary featuring Gustavo Menéndez (President, Warner Chappell U.S. Latin and Latin America) and his team. The film puts a focus on their relationships to music and with longtime Warner Chappell artist Lasso, whose breakthrough record “Ojos Marrones” was awarded Best New Latin Song by Billboard in 2022.

CMYK led or was deeply involved with every aspect of production, which had a tight turnaround; everything from concepting, to on-site production in Miami, to final editing and delivery took place over the course of just four weeks. In the end—much like Gustavo and Lasso’s years of persistence and hard work— the end-product was well worth the effort.
